Reading a Card
Each entry is one planet: its orbit, its type, and the maximum population it can support. The orbit number is flavor only — per the rules, it "serves no purpose other than to colorfully introduce the different planets." The number in the corner identifies the card.
| Planet type | End-game score | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Terran | 3 pts | The prize. Earth-like, and the planet type everyone races for. |
| Sub-Terran | 1 pt | Habitable and worth holding. |
| Minimal-Terran | 0 pts | Livable, but worthless for scoring. |
| Barren | 0 pts | Livable, but worthless for scoring. |
Mineral Rich planets double the productivity of any industry placed on them. That makes the blue card above an economic engine even though it scores nothing.
What These Five Show
Star color is a hint, not a guarantee. The yellow card is the jackpot: an 80-million Terran world plus a Sub-Terran. Red can still hide a Terran planet, and the blue card has the mineral-rich world that blue stars lean toward. You only find out by sending ships there.
